👉Have you been wanting your business to become more, but the mom guilt sets in?
Mom guilt is just regular ole feelings of guilt caused by beliefs and expectations of what you are “supposed” to be as a mom. 🤯
Thoughts like: “you can’t have this for yourself because it’s taking the time away from the kids, your partner, the house, etc. “
“Good moms” don’t sacrifice time and attention from their family.”
“My kid suffers when I am working.”
“You have to be able to do all of it, all the time, every day or you are failing.”
“Your kids have to be happy all of the time or you are failing.”
So your brain feels torn. It wants two things that feel at odds with each other. So you continue to want this business, and be a good mom but you don’t believe you can.😣
And then our brains look for evidence to support one belief or the other because it can’t handle the dissonance.
And once it does that, now it’s solidified the beliefs that you can’t be a good mom and have the business or income you want even more.
But all you consciously know is you feel terrible because you want something you don’t believe you can truly have.
You keep taking action that supports you not being able to have it (because that belief) and feel frustrated, disappointed and stuck in self sabotage.
And every time you try to step out of it, your brain offers you up those thoughts that bring back the guilt and stop you.😱
It’s not your fault.
It’s normal.
But it’s not necessary to keep spinning in. It’s not helping you be a better mom OR follow your dreams.
