In this episode, I will talk about what to do with difficult people in our lives. It’s not really what we’re looking for during these times. The fact that the holidays this year is a bit different because of the lockdowns, the distancing, and cancellation of events, it’s fair to say that difficult people make our lives more difficult. So what are we to do if we have to deal with difficult people every day? What if I tell you that difficult people don’t make our lives difficult? What’s happening a lot of the time is we unconsciously or consciously believe that people directly cause our feelings. We automatically tag them as someone or something difficult. So if we feel negative things and think that this person or situation is the cause, we automatically go to this place where we need and want them to change. Often, our state has a lot to do with these difficult situations. We wouldn’t consider most of them as difficult when we have a good state of mind and full of energy. We only flag them as difficult when we don’t have the energy to deal with them appropriately.
Join me in this episode of the Balanced and Free Mom Boss as we talk about dealing with difficult people or situations and take them head-on from a different perspective.
Key points:
When we’re in a good place mentally and physically, we’ll minimize the ‘difficult’ people or situations in our lives.
Our energy level directly relates to these difficult moments. The more energy we have in dealing with things, the less we’ll encounter these ‘difficult’ moments.
We don’t need to change the things around us that we think we need to change. Sometimes the change we need is internal to allow us to roll with the punches.
